Lake Michigan Water Level Woes
Water Levels in Lake Michigan fluctuate greatly. These water levels were hitting historically low levels as recently as 2013.
Water levels have rebounded greatly into 2019. There is now a whole new set of concerns and challenges.
Both sides of this problem may be solved more appropriately by doing better design and engineering for water levels that fluctuate with the cycles of our Great Lakes.
Utilizing floating docks and tiered seawalls may be better term solutions to working with the fluctuating water levels rather than trying to adjust fixed structures.
